EMBRACE CONTACT CENTRE
Improving the Lives of Many
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
We Make It Easy to Help Others
The Embrace Child Contact Centre is an independent organisation with no official connection with the Courts or Social Services. It is staffed entirely by volunteers. All our volunteers are trained & DBS checked and are completely impartial & non judgemental. We are an accredited centre and operate under the auspices of The National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC).
There is a comfortable, warm hall with play facilities where children and parents can enjoy their time together on neutral ground.
The volunteer staff are always available to help, but do not undertake ‘supervised contact’.

HOW DO I ARRANGE TO COME?
You need to contact your Social Worker or Solicitor, or you can self refer by contacting the coordinator either by telephone or the centre email address - stthomasch65@gmail.com.
HOW DO I FIND THE CENTRE?
You will find the centre at St Thomas and All Saints Church, Whitby Road, Ellesmere Port, CH65 6UW
See directions on the map below.
WHAT IF I CAN’T COME?
If your visit has been arranged it would be expected that any cancellation would only occur because of an emergency. However, if you do have to cancel please contact the Co-ordinator as soon as possible. Others may be waiting the availability of a place. If you have to suddenly cancel on the day please try to inform the other parent as well as the Co-ordinator. It would also be helpful to telephone if you were going to be unavoidably late on the day.
ARE ANY REPORTS MADE?
We always inform the Social Worker or Solicitor as to your attendance at the pre-visit and on the first arranged visit. Any other reports are only made if specifically requested, and deal only with non-attendance without any notification to the centre.
MUST I MEET THE OTHER PARENT?
No, you do not have to have any contact if that is your preference. It is important that you inform the Co-ordinator of your position regarding this so that any arrangements can be made.
DO I HAVE TO PAY?
There is no charge for the sessions, but refreshments, tea, coffee, juice, biscuits and sweets are on sale at modest prices.
CAN I COME AND LOOK?
Yes, you can certainly visit the Centre on the date of your previsit which is arranged through the coordinator. This assessment visit will be arranged for both parents & the children so we can explain a few things & discuss your requirements. This also helps familiarise all parties, but especially the child, with our building & facilities.
CAN I TAKE MY CHILD OUT?
This depends on the terms of contact decided by the Court or Social Services or the resident parent. If it has been agreed and pre-arranged then there is no problem. The Centre can be used as a “handover” venue and we are happy to facilitate this.
